Who is eligible to become a member of the Florida Baptist Credit union?
You are welcome to join the Florida Baptist Credit Union! All we ask that you are a member of a Southern Baptist Church located in the state of Florida – in keeping with our State Charter field-of-membership. Also eligible are your immediate family members, when you are Member, as well as are all employees of the Florida Baptist Convention, agencies and institutions.
How do I become a member of the Florida Baptist Credit Union?
Joining the Florida Baptist Credit Union is as easy as 1..2..3! Just give us a call today, toll-free, at 1-800-749-3228 – we’re here to help you through the simple process of gaining Membership. If you prefer, you can complete much of the easy process ahead of time – just access the membership application online, print it out and sign in the appropriate place. Mail the completed application along with a legible copy of your driver’s license and a minimum $25 deposit to savings to FBCU at 1320 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
Are there any monthly service charges associated with my credit union accounts?
No, there are not any monthly service charges associated with your savings or checking accounts.
Can my children have accounts at the credit union?
Yes. If you are currently a member of the credit, then all it takes is a completed application form for your child. As parent or legal guardian, you will complete the joint owner of the application. We also need a copy of your driver’s license along with a $25 deposit into savings. Please just give us a call at 800-749-3228 and we’ll be happy to help get this process rolling!
Can my teenage child have a Florida Baptist Credit Union checking account along with a debit card?
Yes! The membership application should show your teenager as the primary member – with you as the joint owner. A debit/check card is available upon parent written request. Just give us a call today, toll-free, at 1-800-749-3228 – we’re here to help you through the simple process. If you prefer, you can complete much of the easy process ahead of time – just access the membership application online, print it out and sign in the appropriate place. Mail the completed application along with a legible copy of your driver’s license and a minimum $25 deposit to savings, with an additional deposit of $50 to activate the checking account, to FBCU at 1320 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
Are there any special accounts to encourage children to save?
Yes! We offer Noah’s Ark accounts to children under the age of 18. After a regular savings account is opened, with the minimum $25 opening deposit, then you can make additional deposits to the Noah’s Ark savings account where dividends are paid quarterly and no minimum balance is required! Just let us know, on the membership application, that you’d like to have a Noah’s Ark account established.

Can I open a business account through the credit union?
Yes – that’s the best part! If your business is wholly owned by you and you are a member of the credit union then you can also have your business checking and savings accounts through the credit union. If your business is incorporated, then all active board members would need to be a member of the credit union for the corporation to eligible for an account.
Can my church be a member of the credit union?
Yes – that’s one of the reasons Florida Baptist Credit Union was founded! We’re here to serve your Church and/or Ministry with excellence. If your church is a recognized Southern Baptist church of the

Yes! The credit union offers both MasterCard and VISA for our members’ convenience. Both have a no annual fee and low interest rates! (In fact, no interest when you pay in full each month!).
